Apple Picking

So this past weekend  we went apple picking with my MIL on Saturday. The kiddos had a blast. It was so funny and adorable. They were so excited to go. Even though the drive was a little longer than I expected (K decided to throw up on the way there..she gets car sick just like me and her dad). Seriously I can't believe the prices now than when I was a kid. It is a total rip off but totally worth it.

Funny thing is The oldest wanted to carry the bag while K did most of the picking. Well that was til the bag got to heavy then he gladly handed it over to me. We took a little wagon ride. LOL that was fun. It was super bumpy. The oldest did great when it came to the sound. Thankfully it wasn't really all that loud. MIL stayed in the car the entire time because she felt ill. Poor Girl. Thankfully she was feeling much better by Monday when we went to the pumpkin patch. The Weather was absolutely beautiful this whole weekend so we had plenty of stuff we did.

you know what I love......

I love the fact that my days have become quiet...well quiet when I don't have anything else going on. My kids now behave (for the most part, the yelling and crying has become almost non-existent). My kids are completely over the baby stage (no more bottles, diapers, temper tantrum...well baby/toddler sized ones, etc). My house is cleaner and stays cleaner for longer.I can bring them out in public without fear that they will just take off and not come back when I call. They are mostly independent little individuals that really aren't all that little anymore.I am very please with how well they are doing. The best thing of All. I am slowly becoming sane again and more than just mommy.

Fully Potty Trained

After a few setbacks.......
Little miss is now FULLY POTTY TRAINED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No more diapers to buy. Means more molah $$$$$ in my pockets :) Very very very very very very very happy!!!!!!!!!!

PTO/RP

This past Monday I had a very busy evening. I had a room parent reception. Which was basically Me and the teacher just trying to schedule a few things for this month and next month for the classroom. Why was it just me cause no one else volunteered for my sons class. Oh well. We will figure it out. Now I need to call and ask for volunteers to help out with the Fun Fair later on this month.
Right after that I had my very first PTO meeting. Which is really kinda boring. Just a bunch of moms and the principal (who I found out is retiring in Jan.) Not too sure if there were any teachers there or not. Sitting around taking notes (which I was totally unprepared for) Throwing out ideas on multiple stuff for the school (fundraisers, etc). Thankfully they only meet once a month.

Book Recommendation

Over the Course of September I managed to Read a book. Yay me LOL. Anyways. It was really good and truly inspiring. The Faith that these women had in even the most difficult of times. The daily dangers they faced. The book was called " The Help" . Yes it has recently been turned into a movie. I suggest you read the book. The books are always better anyways. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. A Fantastic easy read. You won't be able to put it down. I know I had a hard time doing it. Make this book your next to read.

this is what the book is about: Be prepared to meet three unforgettable women:

Twenty-two-year-old Skeeter has just returned home after graduating from Ole Miss. She may have a degree, but it is 1962, Mississippi, and her mother will not be happy till Skeeter has a ring on her finger. Skeeter would normally find solace with her beloved maid Constantine, the woman who raised her, but Constantine has disappeared and no one will tell Skeeter where she has gone.

Aibileen is a black maid, a wise, regal woman raising her seventeenth white child. Something has shifted inside her after the loss of her own son, who died while his bosses looked the other way. She is devoted to the little girl she looks after, though she knows both their hearts may be broken.

Minny, Aibileen's best friend, is short, fat, and perhaps the sassiest woman in Mississippi. She can cook like nobody's business, but she can't mind her tongue, so she's lost yet another job. Minny finally finds a position working for someone too new to town to know her reputation. But her new boss has secrets of her own.

Seemingly as different from one another as can be, these women will nonetheless come together for a clandestine project that will put them all at risk. And why? Because they are suffocating within the lines that define their town and their times. And sometimes lines are made to be crossed.

In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women-mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends-view one another. A deeply moving novel filled with poignancy, humor, and hope, The Help is a timeless and universal story about the lines we abide by, and the ones we don't.

Life and Loss

September 13th was the best and worst day of my life.
The best Part of that day was when my neice was born. 7 lbs  6.02 oz , 20 inches of pure joy.

The Worst part of my day was finding out that a dear friend had been in a horrific accident. She was hit by a truck while walking her dog. Sadly she didnt make it and died a few days later. She gave her organs for donation. Cause she was a giving caring person. She will be missed forever and always loved.

Garage Sale

We had a town wide garage sale the 2nd weekend in Sept. Me and my MIL did one together. We split the profits. We did really good the first day and the 2nd day was super slow and we didnt get much but I think over all the Weekend was a success. The best part was we got rid off ALOT of junk.

September

September- we had a meet the teacher and see the classroom the day before the first day of school. My son the kindergartner on his first day of School.

these were taken his first day of school and of course it was raining that day (like it did practically all month). We had Parent information night Half way through the month. Where I learned that he has gym twice a week and Library once. They had school pictures done on the 23rd and I cant wait to get them back and see how they turned out. We practiced his cheese smile that morning while waiting for the bus it was adorable. He was also sick the 3rd week of school with a stomach bug . yucky!
Had a gear sale, fundraiser, PTO stuff go home. Busy ,busy bee we are. And this was just for the school stuff

If you haven't seen this movie yet. You NEED to go out and buy it like TODAY!! It is super cute. It will get your booty shaking. It will melt your heart with all the cuteness. Your kids will love it.

oh yeah!!

Went school clothes shopping last night. Got 5 long sleeve shirts , 5 pairs of jeans, 2 packages of underwear, 2 belts and a backpack for $113 and some change. BooYA!!

I even got a movie and a umbrella and still only spent $131. It pays to be a bargin shopper. I look for good clothes for cheap on clearance. I love love love faded glory. They are cheap but they last a long time.  hey every dollar counts.

Wow it has been a long time

Fell off the map for a while there. been super busy and only kept up on my fb games. oh yeah those fuckers are addicting.

Any hizzle We had the baby shower for my SIL this past weekend.I made a little step stool with the baby's name on it. I think me and My MIL did an awesome job with the Shower. WE make a great team when it comes to planning and setting shit up for parties. WE are both reliable. but that is another story. There was a ton of food left over. So yeah I got some goodies to bring home. Saves me at least a couple more days of no grocery shopping.

Ian's summer school ended. Such a shame he LOVED IT!!. He still asks if he can go to school today. Kindergarten doesn't start til Sept 7th. I have his new teacher and the school he will be attending but no Bus information, no school supply list. Shit is starting to piss me off. I would like to start doing that soon. I only have a handful of days where I can run errands and get shit done. I am thinking I am gonna go at least school clothes shopping in the next couple days. hell I might even do that tonight just to get it out of the way and to get the fuck out of  the house. going stir crazy after the rain the past couple days.

Been Potty training my 3 yr old. We are half way through week 4 of the sticker chart method. But we finally have Poop. She went twice this week on the potty. Oh yeah that earns ya 2 stickers. I swear to Hades that girls are harder to potty train than boys. My son practically potty trained himself in a couple days.

Any who I think that is enough for now..... til next time "Smile people will think your up to something"

Sooo It is finally Over

The wedding that is. TFG!!My BIL got married this past sunday. We were all in the wedding party except my son. It was a nice ceremony and a great reception. ALL the food I and my MIL made was GONE! Vultures ate it all up. There ended up being close to 200 guests even though only 140 RSVP'd.

I got tons of compliments on my dress and shoes and hair :) It was a good ego booster. Too bad there wasn't very many good shots taken.

I am the first one in the red dress closest to the bride. This is the wedding party (minus the flower girl and ring bearer)

this is my absolutely favorite picture of my daughter and husband (flower girl and groomsman)

My daughter turned 3 today!

OMG she is getting so big right before my very eyes *tear*. We had her 3 yr old check up today and she is 39.5 inches tall and 33 pounds. Everything else is right on target. She didn't want to be there. This was about the same age that my son started to hate the dr's office too. She didn't want to get undressed and she didnt want the dr to touch her. She also brought her Princess baby dolls to her appointment :) so adorable.

Went to the Drive In's

Me,Kids, and my husband's cousin went to the Drive In's Friday night and saw Cars 2 and green lantern(in this order). My daughter ended up sleeping through 1/2 of the first movie. and my son ended up falling asleep 1/2 through the second movie. The kids were extremely hyper while we waited. Jumping around in the back and what not. Now normally I would have just let them out to run around (they have a place for kids to play, run, etc) but it was raining on and off.

*spoiler ahead, but much need if formation if you censor what your kids watch*

My Son LOVED Cars 2. My daughter did to but I think she just wants to see the whole thing LOL.This is definitely one we will be adding to the collection. The only this is with the 2nd one there was alot of shooting guns and stuff. there were spies and it reminded me alot of 007, golden eye, etc. but just with Cars characters.

Oh and green latern sucks but that is just my opinion.

Son's School

So we had gotten him into a school that he was suppose to go to on July 5th. We went and saw it friday morning/noon. He loved it there. WELL....I got a call from the school this morning turns out he doesn't qualify (because of his age). SO I have to go in for another meeting on wednesday morning at 10 am to figure something out. This was the school's mistake not mine. I swear to god I am gonna go nuts with all this bullshit. So I guess I will just have to see how things go......

Son got bit by a Dog this weekend

Me and the kids went to my husband's aunt's house this saturday for her daughter's graduation party.
Anyways My son went upstairs to go play in his cousin's room to play with the toys(I had asked if this was ok with his aunt, she said it was fine) So I left him there to go and tend to my daughter. I came back to check on him 10 mins (if that) later to make sure he was doing ok. I heard him crying and screaming upstairs( i swear I never ran up stairs so fucking fast). By the time I got up there Kayla(the daughter)'s boyfriend had already had the dog off and away from my son. I went in the room and asked my son what happened and he said the dog bite him forever (back round my son has a language learning disability, so this is how he speaks). So I brought him down stairs to check out the bite. There was no breaking of the skin thank god but there is alot of bruising up and down his arm. I feel so terrible. I swear to god I would have never left him up there alone if I knew there was a dog up there on the 2nd floor.

My son knows that not all dogs are nice and to ask the owner for permission before even attempting to pet or touch an animal. We have been over this a million times. He has been around animals alot. But he got curious in a new enviroment (his aunt had recently moved into a new home)he went to check out the other rooms(probably on a mission for more toys) and found the dog. backround on the dog. The dog is mean natured and that is why is was put up in the first place. His aunt feels awful, I feel awful, My son's arm is all bruised up and I feel like the worst parent in the whole world :(

oh I had my mother check it out the next day (she is an RN) and she said he should be fine. I also asked his Aunt and the dog is all up to date on his shots. We iced his arm just incase of any swelling (i didnt see any but it was a precaution) we put magical bandaids and he was fine after that.

another busy weekend ahead

This week starting tomorrow I will be busy til july 4th. dr appointments, finalizing wedding plans(my BIL is getting married on the 3rd), a couple birthday parties, a graduation party, a wedding. Some how I need to get a backpack and basic school supplies, keep up on my housework, grocery shop, etc.

AHHHHHHHHH I already want to pull my hair out!!

Father's Day BBQ

We had a huge BBQ for father's day this yr. Played Horsehoes, kids played in the kiddie pool, it was fun fun fun! There was some drama but it is what it is and some people shouldn't drink and thats all I am gonna say about that LOL. My BFF and her kids stayed the night at our home. and then we played for most of the afternoon the next day. I am still exhausted from this weekend but It was a great weekend over all.

Bonus I got my husband out of jury duty summons til september :)

Officially Summer

Yesterday was the first official day of summer. I love summer! Love Pool time, bon fires, catching some sun rays, BBQ's, etc. But I am a little sad that my son will miss most of it.

IEP Meeting

Basically the IEP meeting I went to this past friday was setting up a preschool type setting that had all his special needs met (OT/PT/SPEC/speech) sort of a jump off to get him ready for Kindergarden. It is a 6 week long program, 5 hrs a day. Transportation is going to be provided. Thank Goodness. We are going up on Friday morning/afternoon to check out the school. They only had a few spots left in the area so I jumped all over it.  But He will start July 5th 8:15 to 1:15 and his last day will be August 12th. I will have to go to another meeting to set up a special programs and what not with the actual school he will be attending for the Fall.
