Funnies 3

One day a guy walks into a bar. The bartender says "if you can make that horse over there laugh you can have free drinks for the rest of the night".

So he says "ok" and walks over to the horse and whispers something in his ear and he starts laughing and the bartender gives him free drinks for the rest of the night.

The next night the same guy comes back in and the bartender says "if you can make... that horse over there cry i will give you free drinks for the rest of the night.

So he walks over there and does something and the horse starts crying, and the bartender gives him free drinks. Then the bartender asks what the man did to make the horse laugh and what he did to make him cry.

The man says "To make him laugh I told him I had a bigger dick than he does and to make him cry I showed him"

Snow!!

Snow has made its way from the northwest into the northeast today. At first it was rain then it was rain mixed with a little bit of snow, now it is just snowing. NOT EVEN NOVEMBER YET!!

I was so hoping to get through Halloween with no snow but no such luck. I guess we were completely spoiled in that fact we didnt get snow til Mid December last year. I don't think we will be getting enough to have to shovel but still. It is making everything way to cold and yucky.

Funnies 2

There was a drunk man walking down the street turning
his car keys back and forth.
A policeman came up to him and asked, "Sir, what are you doing?"
The drunk replied, "I am looking for my car, the last time I saw
it, it was on the end of these keys."
The police officer said, "Sir, do you know your zipper is down?"
The drunk replied, "Shit, I lost my wife, too!"

Olay Professional ProX clear

I received a free sample of Olay Professional ProX Clear in the mail and finally got around to trying it. First I am trying the Intensive Refining Sulfur Mask (sulfur acne treatment) . You use it twice weekly for the treatment of acne. Put it on your face for 10-15 mins and wash off.

Me wearing the Intensive Refining Mask .....................................................
The Size of the Samples.. Enough to use the mask twice and I could get a couple uses out of the complexion renewing lotion

Ten Minutes later  the rinse.....................................................................................................

After the application of Complexion renewing .............................................................................
My Thoughts on each product:

The Sulfur mask: It smells a little bit like burnt skin while it is drying but it is tolerable. It doesn't feel like your skin is suffocating like most other Skin masks do. I would use it again. It was easy to remove and left my skin feeling soft.

Complexion Renewing: It reduce the redness like it says and it made my face feel really smooth. I might use this one again.

Life the way it is, not the way it was planned.

Has your life turned out the way you thought it would when you graduated High School? How is it different from what you thought it would be?

No it hasn't. For one I didnt think I would be married or have kids practically out of highschool. I was 21 when I was pregnant with my first and 22 when I got married. I thought I would have waited til at least 30 to do either. Gone to college after working a bit or til I figured out what I wanted to continue to go to school for. School still hasn't happened although I think I want to go into nursing and work on the maternity ward. I am worried about going back into the work force even thought I did hold 3 jobs before My first pregnancy. I just havent been to work since almost 6 years ago. I am waiting til my youngest is in school (K) and then headed back I have approx 2 yrs til then.

Even thought things didnt turn out the way I thought they would. I wouldn't change a thing. I would have still married my best friend and still had my two beautiful children. I still have time to do those other things. I still have many more years to accomplish what I want. I am blessed with what I have although sometimes challenging.

Kindergarden and School are my triggers. I am having a hard time letting go. I want my son to stay little forever to keep him home and protect him from the harshness of the world. He is different and for that he will pay the price from the crude perfectionists of the world today. There is no such thing as easy breezy anymore. Too many expectations. Leaving very little wiggle room for those that are special in their own ways. Kids can be cruel. So can parents with their disapproving eyes.
Taking a deep breath. I will push through this and we will both survive.....

Sept. 21, 2011

My son has now entered the school years of his life. I am so proud of how well he is doing. He is in a special needs class which is great for him. He is receiving speech.OT & PT. He Loves school. I signed up as a room parent and am excited to see how things go with that. Me and my daughter miss him while he is at school all day but we are happy that he is having fun. Also it gives me and my daughter time to bond since we never really had the chance like me and my son did before she was born. I was nervous and anxieous before but now that we are 3 weeks in I am excited, happy and proud of my little booger man.

***I am moving previously written journals into my blog ***

Yesterday marked the 4th yr it has been since I lost my cousin in a motorcycle accident :( I will never forget where i was when i got the phone call. I remember it like I can see it on a movie screen. right in front of me.I miss you Chris and I will never forget you.

Cowboy is his name poem:

There's a hundred years of history
and a hundred before that
All gathered in the thinkin'
Goin' on beneath this hat.
The cold flame burns within him
'Til his skin's as cold as ice
And the dues he paid to get here
Are worth every sacrifice.
All the miles spend sleepy drivin'
All the money down the drain,
All the 'if I's' and 'nearly's, '
All the bandages and pain,
All the female tears left dryin',
All the fever and the fight
Are just a small down payment
On the ride he makes tonight.
It's guts and love and glory,
One mortal's chance at fame.
His legacy is rodeo
And cowboy is his name.

weight watchers -CM

A way while back I got picked for the weight watchers snack cake influencer program. I got the coupon for the free box of snack cake. Whatever kind I wanted. Well it finally hit stores here a little bit ago so I was FINALLY able to pick up a box.
I had chosen the carrot cake:

To be honest I hated them. They tasted aweful. Like I was chewing on a sponge that had some sort of funk in the middle.

on the other hand my kids liked them.

Funnies 1

A woman accompanied her husband to the doctor's office.
After the check-up, the doctor took the wife aside and
said, "If you don't do the following, your husband will
surely die".

... 1.Each morning, fix him a healthy breakfast and send
him off to work in a good mood.

2.At lunch time, make him a warm, nutritious meal and
put him in a good frame of mind before he goes back
to work.

3.For dinner, fix an especially nice meal, and don't
burden him with household chores.

4.Have sex with him several times a week and satisfy
his every whim.

On the way home, the husband asked his wife what the doctor
had told her.

"You're going to die," she replied.

Nudist

Why is it at some point during the toddler years they become nudist?? My daughter has decided she no longer wants to wear clothes. Literally spent all day fighting with her to put clothes on. I finally got her to get clothes on to go out to the bus stop. 5 seconds after coming in from said bus stop she was nude again!!  This one is gonna have me pulling my hair out for the next 15 yrs and then some !!!!

Snow Garb has arrived.

Finally got the snow pants, boots and winter jackets that I ordered. They came today. YAY and Just in time for snow (expected to come Thurs and Saturday).  I was worried that weren't gonna make it in time. That is a load off my mind. I also got an unexpected suprise that I forgot about in the mail too. A Cafemom Lunchbag as a thank you for trying out their new beta layout.

YAY Me!!

If you know me you know I am a HUGE Jodi Picoult fan. I have read a good chunk of her novels.  Well I Pre-Ordered her latest "Sing You Home" and it arrived in the mail Monday. YAY!! I can't wait to read it :)
Her previous 17 novels include "Nineteen Minutes," "Handle With Care," "Change of Heart". I suggest reading them. They are Awesome.

This is what it is about :
Zoe Baxter is 40 years old and frantic to have a child. She and husband Max have been trying for a decade and, as Jodi Picoult's latest novel, "Sing You Home," opens, she is -- at long last -- pregnant.

But good things quickly go awry. Zoe miscarries and Max throws in the towel. The couple's efforts to overcome fertility problems on both sides have left him wanting out. He divorces Zoe and moves in with his brother; Zoe, trying to move on, finds herself attracted to a new friend, a school counselor she works with.

That new friend is Vanessa Shaw, and therein lies the heart of Picoult's latest hot topic: gay rights and same-sex marriage.

The Baxters' years of in vitro fertilization left three frozen, fertilized eggs. Health issues have dealt the death knell for Zoe's reproduction efforts, but Vanessa could carry a child.

Zoe approaches Max about signing over the embryos. But Max, a recovering alcoholic, has joined the Eternal Glory Church, a Christian right congregation. He worries not only about Zoe's lesbian soul but also about the propriety of her lover and her raising their child.

A court case ensues, and Picoult leaps into the fray. There's no question whose side she's on and the plot jogs right along. Picoult is deft at her craft, knows right where she wants her readers to go, and isn't afraid to yank them there.

But it takes a certain tolerance for Lifetime movies to enjoy her books. Picoult doesn't disguise where the story is headed, and plot twists are flagged miles ahead. (One twist at the end requires quite the leap of faith to accept that neither the school nor Vanessa saw it coming.) Picoult's manipulation can be annoying; her sentimentality cloying.

Her legion of fans and book-club readers who enjoy the chance to discuss current issues, however, will find her right on target. (Picoult is no doubt thrilled that her 18th novel hits stores just after the Obama administration decided not to defend the Defense of Marriage Act, which bars federal recognition of same-sex marriages.)

With her protagonist, Zoe, a music therapist, Picoult has included a perk for her readers: a companion CD of folk songs, with one song assigned for each chapter; friend Ellen Wilber wrote the music, Picoult the lyrics.

Down By the River book 3

Just finished the book Down By The River Book 3 in the Grace Valley Trilogy by Robyn Carr. It was pretty good. Def kept my interest. It showed alot of human interest in how we should look after each other. Love and Take Care of thy Neighbor. Really made me wish I lived in a small town again ( I sort of do now but it doesn't have the same feel as the book). I picked up the book not realizing it was part of a trilogy LOL but it was good even not with reading the first two.

About the Book :
In the peaceful town of Grace Valley, neighbors are like family -- and just as meddlesome, too.

June Hudson is the town's doctor, a caring, capable woman who now has a bit of explaining to do. People are beginning to notice the bloom in her cheeks -- and the swell of her belly. Happily, DEA agent Jim Post is back in June's arms for good, newly retired from undercover work and ready for new beginnings here in Grace Valley.

Expecting the unexpected is a way of life in Grace Valley, and the community is overflowing with gossip right now. Who is the secret paramour June's aunt Myrna is hiding? Does the town's poker-playing pastor have too many aces up his sleeve?

But when dangers, from man and nature, rise up with a vengeance to threaten June and the town, this community pulls together and shows what it's made of. And Jim discovers the true meaning of happiness here in Grace Valley: there really is no place like home.

Vick's Nature Fusion

A big thanks to Vocal Point I will be one of the first few to be able to try Vick's New Nature Fusion.

Vicks® Nature Fusion is a new
cold and flu liquid that is flavored
with natural honey instead of
artificial flavors.**

Sounds way better than the other nasty stuff. Anyways I will write a review of the product when I get it and am able to use it :)

That came outta you!!

OMG that was rancid. I went to go down the hallway and the smell hit me like a ton of bricks. My daughter took a dump in the bathroom that made the whole house smell. She definitely takes after her father!

*kicker is: it was tiny little poop nuggets* LMAO

Demon Child

I am so not thrilled with my daughter's attitude lately. I am the only one home with her Most of the time so she has resorted to finding different way to annoy me, not listen or talk back. Terrible 3's is right and I have about had it with the little tude'. Making me wish I could send her to school like today. LOL.  If I don't laugh about it sometimes I would be huddled in the corners in the fetal potition crying my eyes out.

Pumpkin Patch

Monday we went to SunnySide Gardens to pick out pumpkins to carve out. We went with my MIL again. Thankfully she was feeling much better and was actually able to participate
The kiddos had a blast. The stuck their faces in these boards. They had several different ones. Like Yo Gabba Gabba, Miss Spider and Her Sunnypatch Friends, etc. This Year (cause they have different themes each yr) Their Themes are The Smurfs(where the Hay maze used to be), Nusery Rymes In the pumpkin patch and a Under the Sea Creatures/Characters for the Hay Ride in the Woods.

The kiddos went on Thomas the Train (small train ride). They Loved it and my oldest wanted to go on it several more times but we only did it the once. I didnt ride cause I went to pay for our stuff while they went on.
They picked out Two small painted pumpkins . The oldest picked the crazy face and the youngest picked out the Backyardigan character. We also Got 3 very large pumpkins to carve at home. and a couple little decorations that the kids picked out for the house. Cause even though I love halloween , my decorations are seriously lacking lol.

Anyways when we got home. The kiddos and husband played alittle bit outside and then we came in carved pumpkins. More like Hubby cut the top off and I carved while hubby bathed the kids. They were really grossed out by the pumpkin guts. They didnt want to touch it and just yelled gross over and over LOL Anyways I only managed to crank out one finished product. My hand started cramping really bad. So later on this week we are gonna finish the rest of them. Just not sure when that will be
Do you see how frickin' tall my kids are???? LOL

Sunday

The day of Errands and grocery shopping. I love those days because I usually get to do it alone. Yippee! As much as I love and cherish my children I need a break.

Sleeping over at Grandmas

Friday Night After we got the oldest off of the bus we all went to grandmas house for a little bit to visit. The oldest had already decided he want to sleep at grandmas house when he came home that afternoon before we even decided we were going for a visit. I warned her when we came that he might ask to stay the night. He NEVER actually stays. So when he asked me to get his PJ's and stuff for his overnight with grandma we were both very surprised. So we had ordered pizza so when I went down to pick it up I also stopped by the house and picked up a few things for him.
I would love to say that when me and the little girl got home we had a girls night of nail polish and make overs. But we didn't it was late and she went straight to bed and was out minutes after her head hit the pillow.

Apple Picking

So this past weekend  we went apple picking with my MIL on Saturday. The kiddos had a blast. It was so funny and adorable. They were so excited to go. Even though the drive was a little longer than I expected (K decided to throw up on the way there..she gets car sick just like me and her dad). Seriously I can't believe the prices now than when I was a kid. It is a total rip off but totally worth it.

Funny thing is The oldest wanted to carry the bag while K did most of the picking. Well that was til the bag got to heavy then he gladly handed it over to me. We took a little wagon ride. LOL that was fun. It was super bumpy. The oldest did great when it came to the sound. Thankfully it wasn't really all that loud. MIL stayed in the car the entire time because she felt ill. Poor Girl. Thankfully she was feeling much better by Monday when we went to the pumpkin patch. The Weather was absolutely beautiful this whole weekend so we had plenty of stuff we did.

you know what I love......

I love the fact that my days have become quiet...well quiet when I don't have anything else going on. My kids now behave (for the most part, the yelling and crying has become almost non-existent). My kids are completely over the baby stage (no more bottles, diapers, temper tantrum...well baby/toddler sized ones, etc). My house is cleaner and stays cleaner for longer.I can bring them out in public without fear that they will just take off and not come back when I call. They are mostly independent little individuals that really aren't all that little anymore.I am very please with how well they are doing. The best thing of All. I am slowly becoming sane again and more than just mommy.

Fully Potty Trained

After a few setbacks.......
Little miss is now FULLY POTTY TRAINED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No more diapers to buy. Means more molah $$$$$ in my pockets :) Very very very very very very very happy!!!!!!!!!!

PTO/RP

This past Monday I had a very busy evening. I had a room parent reception. Which was basically Me and the teacher just trying to schedule a few things for this month and next month for the classroom. Why was it just me cause no one else volunteered for my sons class. Oh well. We will figure it out. Now I need to call and ask for volunteers to help out with the Fun Fair later on this month.
Right after that I had my very first PTO meeting. Which is really kinda boring. Just a bunch of moms and the principal (who I found out is retiring in Jan.) Not too sure if there were any teachers there or not. Sitting around taking notes (which I was totally unprepared for) Throwing out ideas on multiple stuff for the school (fundraisers, etc). Thankfully they only meet once a month.
